Student Affairs Committee
All students are invited to compete for the Samuel H. Gruber Award for best student oral presentation, Jeffrey C. and Carol A. Carrier Award for the best student poster, Donald R. Nelson Behavior Research Award, and Student Research Award at the annual meeting. Students can apply for Travel Awards to subsidize meeting attendance as well. Student representation at the meetings has been increasing steadily in recent years, so the competition for the awards at this year's conference in Providence is sure to be tough. Cash prizes are awarded to all winners, and certificates of recognition are given to those receiving honorable mention.

Students competing for the Gruber and Carrier awards are required to volunteer for 2 hrs in the AES store during the annual meeting. Students applying for a Travel award are requried to volunteer for 5 hrs in the AES store. Any students applying/competing for multiple awards will only be required to volunteer for a maximum of 5 hrs.

Eligible candidates for student awards must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a current AES member in good standing
  • Submit the relevant application materials by the deadline
  • Travel awards are limited to 1 per academic degree, with a maximum of 2 per individual
  • Information and Applications for Awards:
